I grew up in rural Georgia and meandered my way to Boston, Vancouver, and now, Nashville, where I live with my husband and one cat, both of whom are a surprise to me.
I worked as a hospital chaplain for a year and a half after completing a theology degree. When I realized I was better at reflecting on chaplaincy than practicing it, I became a freelance writer.
If my past blogging seem sporadic, it’s because it was. This blog represents my best concerted effort to write something consistently and well.
You can usually find me making bold and occasionally successful attempts at international food in my kitchen, becoming overly emotionally involved in the lives of dogs at my local animal shelter, and trying to convince myself that Netflix is not a better hobby than committing words to the page each day.
